ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY E-COMMERCE

We at MaltMagnus love environmentally smart alternatives, which is why we have our e-commerce on servers powered by renewable energy. The heat from the servers is recovered and sent out to the district heating network - which helps to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Good right?

As part of better managing the earth's resources and reducing growing rubbish heaps, the EU has introduced a packaging directive which means that the producer is responsible for ensuring that the packaging supplied to the market is also collected and recycled.

In Sweden, we have solved this by merging the business community and creating the Förpacknings- och Tidningsinsamlingen, FTI. As a company affiliated to FTI, we have taken our producer responsibility for the collection and recycling of paper, plastic and metal packaging. FTI provides a nationwide collection system for households and businesses. The packaging goes to material recycling.

Today, there are over 5,000 recycling stations in the country's 290 municipalities. In addition, more than 1.8 million of all Swedish households have access to collection close to real estate subsidized by FTI.
