Carbonation Chart

How to use the carbonation chart

1. Different kinds of beer have different amount of carbonic acid so start by looking where your beer should be according to the color scheme.

2. The temperature of the keg/beer is crucial as the carbonic acid dissolves better in cold beer, so measure the temperature where you intend to store your keg.

3. Find your temperature on the left side of the table and then follow the line until you find the matching color for your beer style. Then go straight up to see the pressure in bar or psi needed to achieve the right carbonation content in your beer.

It is of course very individual how much carbonic acid you want in your beer, some want more and some want less. With the help of this chart you can see where each beer style usually lies and then adjust to your own liking and taste.
